Prologue is powered by an 85 kWh lithium-ion battery and is expected to clock an EPA of 300 miles on a single full charge. This SUV is also designed to support fast charging – up to 155 kW.
The company has revealed that 10 minutes of fast charging will be enough to power the SUV for about 65 miles. However, because it only supports 155 kW, you won’t enjoy Electrify America’s fastest charging 350 kW portal.
Honda also announced it will provide several charging packages and public charging credits. One of the packages includes a $500 Honda Home Electrification installation service, an 11.5 kW home charging station, and a $100 public charging credit. The credits will work with its charging roaming partners, EVgo and ChargePoint.
The second charging package comes with a 7.6 kW charger portal, which is significantly slower than the 11.5 kW home charging station. Customers will also get a $250 installation service and a $300 public charging credit.
Through the HondaLink app, customers will be able to scan for chargers in the vicinity and initiate a charge, thanks to the Honda and EVgo partnership.
Honda also plans to release two versions of the 2024 Prologue, the Touring and EX. Both will be available in dual-motor all-wheel drive and standard single-motor front-wheel drive configurations.
The company is yet to release details of the FWD Prologue power ratings, but the AWD output model will clock 288 horsepower and 333 lb-ft of torque.
