Marketed worldwide and manufactured at ten plants in eight countries, sales have reached almost 5 million by mid-2013. As we all know the Fit is known for its one-box or mono space with an interior design concept that uses a reconfigurable cargo volume to compete with larger vehicles. The reason why the most of us love it is for its fuel efficient setup, lots of competitive features and a very accommodate cabin. Engine and specs

For the propulsion of this small car a 1.5L turbocharged 4 cylinder engine is in charge, and it is sending all of its 130 HP and 114 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels via the six-speed manual transmission. A CVT will be available on the LX and mid-level EX model, and mandatory on the top EX-L trim level. Now bare in mind this is not a race car but an economical daily driver, so do not expect high performance out of it, and when you think of it, with its engine and transmission setup the sprint from 0-60 MPH in 8.5 seconds isn’t that bad. There are two other possibilities in the powertrain department, and they are 1.3L hybrid as well as a 1.3L naturally aspirated inline 4, both being less powerful but a lot more fuel efficient than the 1.5L unit

2017 Honda Fit exterior changes

Exterior of the 2017  Fit will not change considerably. The look is very similar and is almost unchanged, of course, for the untrained eye. Minor changes according that are going to happen are made to the front grille area meaning that it will offer the use of more quality plastic and giving it a bit of extra aggressiveness. The front bumper has also gone through some changes. It has also received more quality materials and some insightful reshaping which is not going to be noticed easily. The roof spoiler on the back gives it a sportier look to the vehicle which adds up nicely with the redesigned front grill. Both the headlights and the taillights have the latest LED technology, but only the front ones have been redesigned. New five-door subcompact vehicle will ride on brand new 15 inch steel wheels.

Interior redesign

Interior of this “pocket style” vehicle will blow your mind. First, there’s an incredible amount of space that can accommodate a lot of stuff despite is pint-size dimensions. Also more than ever, the new Fit has arguably more legroom than it has ever offered. Just like previous version, new Fit comes with the “Magic Seat” feature that allows for additional storage space behind the front seats. Furthermore, there’re lots of desirable features available such as a leather upholstery, an excellent visibility, keyless entry and ignition, cruise control, and an incredible amount of driver aids. Soft plastic inserts are seen throughout the cabin while aluminum and chrome details are also now a very important part of the overall inside. The dashboard is really nicely laid out with big controls, an optional 7 inch touch screen as well as a standard digital dashboard which is rather small but very nicely illuminated. In terms of safety, the 2017 Honda Fit will feature stability control, traction control, front-side airbags, side-curtain airbags, anti lock disc brakes and active head restraints among others.
